This past summer, I was able to be part Camp4ever! as a head counselor, bringing a summer of joy and fun to children struggling with a parent's serious illness. I was able to help give the campers a break from the struggles at home by giving them a great summer of fun while building relationships with them of support and friendship. After camp i was able to continue being part of the Chai4Ever organization by being in touch with my campers and through the volunteer program throughout the year. Chai4Ever is an organization that means alot to me, please help us reach our goal of raising $50,000 which will go towards helping Chai4Ever families year round and to support and expand Camp4Ever.
Children with a sick parent have it rough. They deal with the realities of disease on a daily basis. They live with a constant fear of Mommy or Daddy leaving them. They need to act like adults in helping their parents cope. These children need the break that summer camp provides, and the chance to laugh, run and play like "normal" children. Their parent's catastrophic illness and the resulting financial distress leaves families unable to afford summer camp, just when it is needed most. This unique camp program gives these kids a reprieve from a challenging home situation, restores their spirits and renews their strength to persevere!
I am determined to ensure that every family and child that can benefit from Chai4Ever and Camp4ever! program will have the opportunity to do so. My objective is to raise with my Monsey Team, $50,000 to help these families and to enable these children to go to camp and I hope you will help me reach this goal.
