I'm really excited that I joined Raise4ever in support of Camp4ever! My goal is to raise $3600 to send children with sick parents to camp.
My father became very sick when I was 8 years old, and Chai4ever was there for my family and supported us through this terrible time. My father was niftar when I was 9 years old. Most of my friends have both parents and have no idea what I went through having a sick parent, and what I am still going through having lost my father.
I went to Camp4ever last summer. It was an amazing experience for me. My friends at camp understood me and I understood them, going through something no child should ever have to go through. In some ways, we have to grow up really quickly, but we are still kids. Going to camp and having the time of our lives, while being with kids who are in similar situations, really helped.
